UCVH celebrated and reviewed 2011 at its Annual Meeting held on January 12, 2012 at the Northland Restaurant in Canaan, Vermont. Over 70 people attended this event which featured a buffet dinner, awards, and updates from each of the hospital strategic pillars of finances, community, people, quality, growth, and service. The recipient of the 2011 Annual Director's Award was Talbot Blanchard, LNA. Nominated by his peers, Tal was cited as an employee you would "like a hundred of." Years of service awards were presented to 5, 10, 15, and 20 year employees. A slate of officers for the UCVH Board of Directors was presented for review by nominating committee chariperson, Palmer Lewis. The slate was approved for presentation to the Board of Directors naming Winston Young as Chairman; Greg Placy as Vice-Chair; James Tibbetts as Treasurer; and E. Harlan Connary as Secretary. Next years event will be held in January and will be hosted at the Colebrook Country Club.
