The Urgent Care Clinic is an alternative way to receive same day care at UCVH that does not require an appointment. The operational hours of the clinic are 9am – 7 pm. The clinic is designed for those patients with minor medical problems that do not require the diagnostic use of X-ray’s or blood testing. We provide assistance at discharge with making follow up appointments with your Primary Care Provider and calling in medications to the Pharmacy of your choice if needed. Examples of conditions treated in the Urgent Care Clinic are abrasions requiring cleaning only; minor burns; minor bumps and bruises; earaches and sore throats; simple urinary tract infections; and colds. If the Provider on duty feels it is necessary to obtain X-rays or blood work, the charge for the service must reflect a change to an Emergency Department charge.
